GETTING TO MADISON

By Air

Madison is served by Dane County Regional Airport (MSN), located approximately 4 miles (6 km) northeast of downtown Madison. The airport offers direct flights from many major U.S. cities, including Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Dallas–Fort Worth, Denver, Charlotte, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Phoenix, and others.

MSN is located less than a 15-minute drive from the Monona Terrace Convention Center and the hotels.

Frequent bus service connects both the Milwaukee and Chicago airports with the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus (see Bus Transportation below)

Bus Transportation

From Milwaukee Airport
Badger Bus provides regular service between Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport and the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. The trip takes approximately 2 hours.

From Chicago O’Hare Airport
Van Galder Bus operates several daily departures between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Madison. The trip takes approximately 3 hours.

Driving & Parking

Madison is approximately 140 miles northwest of Chicago, 75 miles west of Milwaukee, and 270 miles southeast of Minneapolis. If you plan to drive or rent a vehicle during the conference, we recommend arranging parking through your hotel whenever possible.

  • 4 hours: Minneapolis–Saint Paul (Twin Cities), Champaign–Urbana
  • Under 5 hours: West Lafayette, Ames, Johnston
